CAN I DISCUSS A TATTOO PROJECT WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT?

For people who wish to talk with a tattoo artist, especially for large pieces, we ask that you call beforehand to make sure the tattoo artist is available when you come. You are still welcome to visit without an appointment, however, you may have to wait to see the artist. For piercings or small tattoos, making appointments is not necessary (to the extent of our availability). Just come and see us and we'll get you sorted!

WILL MY TATTOO HURT?

The human body is actually well equipped to deal with being tattooed. Usually, after the first few minutes, the body will release natural chemicals that help to numb the area. However, you should still expect to feel slight scratching, and heat from the skin, all of which is a completely natural, and safe reaction. Everyone is different, some people feel pain, others don't. When people do experience pain, it is usually more of a discomfort as opposed to pain. It's really not that bad, trust us.

I'M NOT SURE WHAT TATTOO I WANT, OR WHERE IT SHOULD GO?!

Soap the tattoo (by hand) every morning after removing the plastic film (4 mornings), apply the healing cream after wiping the tattoo, it must always remain bold and for a minimum of one week!

At home, leave it in the open (unless you have animals), the rest of the time protect with a kleenex (no sopalin or compresses) After stopping the plastic film, you are no longer obliged to cover the tattoo at night, possibly a kleenex can be used (no dressing). If the kleenex adheres to the tattoo, apply water, wait a few minutes, it will melt, wipe by tapping with another Kleenex.

DO YOU TATTOO HANDS, NECK, FACE, OR FINGERS?

These types of tattoos can have a serious impact on your professional life. They can affect your future employment. As a general rule, we would not tattoo these area's of the body and will most likely refuse the request. Tattoos in these areas also degrade very quickly as the skin is very thin, allowing the ink to "spread". They can become very distorted in a short space of time. Most tattoo shops will also refuse to do this.

WILL YOU CHARGE ME FOR DRAWING THE TATTOO DESIGN?

We do not specifically charge you for the drawing, however, we will usually request that you pay a deposit before the artist starts to draw anything. The artist is taking time to create this drawing for you for the sole purpose of the design being tattooed on your person. You will not own the drawing, even if you pay a deposit. The drawing will always remain the property of the artist. When making an appointment for your tattoo, you will be given a quote depending on the complexity of the pattern, style, and design. We will contact you to make any other changes if needed. In other cases, the modifications will be made, if necessary, when ron the day.

CAN I MAKE A QUOTE ONLINE OR BY TELEPHONE?

For any rate request, we would need to discuss this with you in person. It is very difficult for any tattoo shop or artist to give an accurate price over the phone or online.

CAN YOU SEND MY DESIGN VIA EMAIL?

You can only view your design in the shop.

CAN YOU TATTOO OVER SCARS AND MOLES?

It is possible to tattoo on a scar provided that it is not recent and it is not too much relief (Minimum 2 years). A scar does not have the same texture as your skin, so it is not possible to tattoo as easily as elsewhere. Skin surfaces with scar tissue, especially from severe burns, are often difficult to rework. It often takes a while. Tattooing on a mole is not recommended because it is important to be able to follow its evolution in the long term; you can ask your dermatologist if your moles are benign before considering your tattoo.

CAN I COPY A TATTOO IN YOUR GALLERY?

All images, photos, drawings, illustrations are original creations, works of the spirit of the artists of Angel Tattoo. These works are protected by copyright and intellectual property law. You DO NOT have permission to copy or reproduce ANY images in any format from our website, social media pages, or other platforms displaying our work. We thank you to respect these laws.

CAN I APPLY AN ANESTHETIC CREAM?

We refuse to tattoo anyone who has applied anesthetic cream. Not only is the duration of the product very limited, but it also changes the texture of the skin and the ink pigments will not respond correctly to your skin, in some cases not at all. An anesthetic cream can also hinder the healing process. Your body needs to know that ink has entered the skin in order for it to heal correctly. Failing this, the ink can simply be rejected by the body so you must not use these types of products. Artists will know if you have applied cream and you will lose your appointment and be turned away.

HOW LONG WILL MY TATTOO TAKE?

This is impossible to answer without seeing you first. You would need to discuss this with your artist. Tattoos can last 40 minutes to an entire day, sometimes longer.

WILL MY TATTOO GO WELL AGING?

The most important aspect of ensuring your tattoo stays fresh and clear for many years to come is following the healing instructions! If you fail to follow the healing instructions your tattoo can degrade at a very rapid rate. It is also important to avoid high UV rays (The Sun) by applying sun protection as you would normally do in these types of conditions.

CAN I REMOVE A TATTOO?

The first, and usually easiest option is a cover-up. This is the practice of covering an old, or unwanted tattoo with a new design, however, this can be difficult depending on the tattoo you no longer want. You would need to speak to an artist and show them the tattoo to confirm if a cover-up will work for you. The second option is Laser Tattoo Removal. This must be done by a dermatologist or licensed outlet. We do not perform this at Angel Tattoo.

DO YOU PRACTICE THE SEMI-PERMANENT TATTOO?

This is not a practice carried out at Angel Tattoo. If you would like to try semi-permanent tattoos we would recommend using ephemeral tattoo based on Jagua ink. This is a natural ink obtained from a fruit, the life of the tattoo is 1 to 3 weeks and this will give you a preview of the rendering of your tattoo. We do not recommend henna ink because of the high risk of allergies and reactions to the skin.

DO YOU PRACTICE PERMANENT MAKE-UP?

We do not practice permanent makeup. However, we advise you to contact, Sophie "Dermo soph't" for this practice to whom we give our full confidence, and whose work and hygiene are of the highest standards. For all information and reservations send us an email specifying your last name, first name, and your telephone number. We will pass this information to her and she will contact you. We would specify that we DO NOT receive any commission, it is simply a matter of paying tribute to someone who deserves it.

DO YOU TATOO AT HOME?

Absolutely not, this is not only illegal but also very unhygienic. There will be no exception.

CAN I HAVE A TATTOO IF I AM A MINOR?

We refuse to tattoo any minor under 16, in any case we will ask to meet the parents in order to.
